European Accessibility Act
An EAA accessibility check that keeps running after the first report
Since 28 June 2025 the European Accessibility Act applies to many websites and apps that sell to consumers in the EU. The measure it points to is WCAG 2.1 at levels A and AA. A one-off audit tells you where you stood on one day; A11y-Solutions checks your site on a schedule and tells you when something changes.
What a scan does
- It maps your site: every page in your sitemap and every page linked from the pages it visits, up to 2,000 pages.
- It tests each page with axe-core against WCAG 2.1 A and AA, in a real browser.
- Your plan decides how many pages one scan visits. Each scan takes the pages checked longest ago first, so successive scans cover the whole site, and every report says how many of the pages found it reached.
- Issues are ranked by severity and followed over time, so you see what is new, what was fixed and what came back.
What this is not
An automated check finds roughly a third of the WCAG problems a site can have. The rest, such as whether a text alternative is actually meaningful or a form can be completed with a keyboard, needs testing by people. We say this in every statement, and we do not sell anything as "compliance guaranteed". Nothing is injected into your site: this is not an overlay widget.
Frequently asked questions
Does the EAA apply to my website?
It applies to many services offered to consumers in the EU, among them e-commerce, banking and transport. Very small businesses providing services are largely exempt. Which rules apply to you depends on your service and your country; check that with your national authority or an adviser.
How often is my site checked?
Monthly on Free, weekly on Site, daily on Pro and Agency. You can also start a scan yourself.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. The Free plan monitors one website with a monthly scan of up to 10 pages.
