Accessibility statement
An accessibility statement for your country, kept current by every scan
An accessibility statement tells visitors how accessible your site is, what is not yet, and how to report a problem. A11y-Solutions helps you write it, publishes it at its own address, and updates the part that automated checking can measure after every scan.
What goes in it
- Your compliance status and the content you know is not yet accessible, in your own words.
- For your EU member state: the national act that implements the EAA, and the authority a visitor can report to. Nine countries today: the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Austria, France, Luxembourg, Ireland, Spain and Italy.
- The results of the latest automated check: which WCAG success criteria failed, and on how many pages.
- How to reach you, and how the statement was prepared and last reviewed.
Kept current
The statement is published as a page you link to from your site. After every scan its results section is rewritten, so it never shows a check from months ago. What you declared yourself stays as you wrote it.
Frequently asked questions
In which languages?
English, Dutch and German. The law and the authority are named in their own language.
Which plan has the statement?
Site, Pro and Agency.
Does the statement make my site compliant?
No. It describes where your site stands; the declaration of compliance is yours to make, and an automated check covers only part of WCAG.
